Volunteering at the Bright Art Gallery
The Bright Art Gallery and Cultural Centre could not function without its supportive group of dedicated Volunteers.
Volunteers assist with the running and development of the Gallery for the benefit of the local community and visitors to the region.
Exhibitions and events are presented throughout the year, showcasing local artists work as well as artists from around the country.
The Gallery also provides a unique venue for musical performances, including the popular Café Culture Series, and is a regular venue for local clubs, groups and schools to perform and present their works.
How can you assist?
As a Gallery Volunteer you can choose to assist in one or several of the following ways:
Front Desk Attendant – Greet visitors, provide exhibition information, small cash sales of cards + raffle tickets.
Sales Desk Person – Open + closing of Gallery, all sales, enquiries, membership payments and answering the telephone.
Exhibition Organisation – Before & after set up & take down, receive artists’ entries, hang & display work.
Catering – Help with preparing finger foods for exhibition openings.
Publicity – Distribution of flyers and posters in Bright, the surrounding Alpine Shire and beyond.
Gardening – Helping to maintain the grounds around the gallery, weeding and planting. No lawn mowing.
