Judy states “We all share a love of working with glass. Our glass work results from a sense of discovery, interpretation of form and use of various colour palettes and techniques. In Celebration, each glass artist has used the unique qualities and characteristics of glass to put their own spin on working with glass in interesting ways. During the Victorian COVID lockdown we focused on art as therapy, helping to see us through these difficult times.”
‘Mountains Near and Far’ is a photographic exhibition by photographer Nette Mitchell. Nette says “Mountains near and far is my favorite catalogue of work, It’s a collection dear to my heart and soul. I’ve always found revitalising energy amongst the mountains. This is where I call home in the Alpine Shire of Bright Victoria.
This body of work was created in a way to capture the energy of the mountains. It could be Australia, New Zealand or maybe somewhere beyond. My style of image making comes from a long line of influences and experiences.”
‘New Exhibits’ is an exhibition of recent paintings and photographs by the Alpine Artists, these are the artist members of the Bright Art Gallery
‘Norma Bull’ from the Permanent Collection. The gallery holds 32 works by renowned war artist Norma Bull (1906 – 1980). Norma had strong ties with Bright where she painted many landscapes in her traditionalist style.
